13 mins to my 9pm teleconference...... The office is empty and I am blasting Coldplay Viva La Vida...... Woottt...... Coldplay is really blardy good....... Late night teleconference is going to be a pretty regular item for me....... And its only going to get worse once I kick-start one of the projects...... My name are cited very regularly in the emails right now...... I do not know whether its a good or bad thing....... Im being roped in for every little thing...... And Pascal Garcia say that to me in his French accent; "You seems to be involved in everything, everything Ray Ray Ray"...... Guess that pretty summed up my work so far...... Just hope that I can manage the increasingly overdemanding workload....... Just hope that I can go home regularly at 7pm..... But its almost impossible as time passes....... Oh well, a new phase and I know what I want...... Will just strive for it...... Just glad that I am given the opportunities to shine....... Ok, time to dial in...... Concede a goal and do not even know how the ball arrived at the goal....... Kinda fucked up if you asked me....... The whistle shriek acrossed the field and jubilations can be seen around the stadium...... Sunken heads and tears...... A game well played yet not well enough to lift the cup...... Coaches ran in and lift the player hands....... "You deserved a champion ovation", "It was the most awesome game in the history of the game", "We can do it again at the next Finals"....... Similar words of encouragement could be heard from the dressing rooms....... The fans thumped their feet on the metal makeshift platform....... A glorious echo rings around the stadium in unison....... Almost like the snarl drum of a marching band....... The players are still looking down on the ground as if gold can be found...... In recent days, a much more lucrative prize will be crude oil....... But it is definitely not there on the pitch...... Blades of grass tilted the angle as if they are emulating the posture of the players........ Some fans resort to denial...... "The referee sucks", "Rematch, and we will whoop your ass to show whose the champion", "Its impossible, the match is rigged"....... 102384 different sort of reasons to deny the loss....... Yet, the record books will only record, 1 - 0 in jet black ink...... So black that it stares out at you in mocking fashion....... The camera shift its focus and move away from the crowd and unto the players....... Motionless, speechless........ And within their hearts; "Ive tried my best"....... My Hong Kong room mate/buddy/soul mate/partner in crime........ He is going to be in Hong Kong indefinitely as an investment banker....... Woottt...... A great achievement in itself from getting such a prestigious job....... Just proves that he is brilliant academically as well as a testimony to his working ability.......But after living with him for 4-5 months(As room mates, you idiots)....... I have to attest that he is also an amazing chap....... Someone who works hard and party like a rock star...... Just looking at his friends around him, you will understand what a person he is...... Friends sacrificing their sleep, putting aside all other commitments for him........ Even for myself that hasnt club for donkey years and yet decided to party like a rockstar as well........ It's always fun hanging out with Reuben, we have the same wavelength or so I feel...... Birds of a feather flocks together...... This saying definitely stands as his friends are also as outgoing and fun loving as he is......... Hanging out with them doesnt impose any moral codes or moral standards....... We behaves like we live in a world of our own........ We had fun like we live in an enclosed shell without bothering others....... Dear Reuben: It really has been great knowing you in Hong Kong. Like what you said before, the first night sets our tempo in Hong Kong, and Acorn would be proud of us........ It had been my honour knowing you as a working partner, a friend, a buddy....... Just short of fuck buddies and we are complete in all sense of the word........ I know that you will definitely succeed in life..... Thats almost a given with your calibre and character...... IQ, EQ, you have it all...... I wish you all the best in your work, life and everything you tread on....... I hope to meet you in Hong Kong or Shen Zhen or Guang Zhou or Shanghai...... Anywhere!!! And I know that we will have tremendous fun....... Have a safe flight and be safe........ I dedicated this entry to you........ A really great pal.......
