Bah...... Whole day on the orientation on the Ontrac thingy in school...... Seems rather slick for a system. The system encompasses internship program, community services and resources for various skills. Speakers were invited to touch on certain issues liked community service, internship and also experiences in SMU as a whole. After today session, i really felt the distinct difference in SMU. Most of the peeps are really my kinda of peeps, out-spoken, friendly and spontaneous. Knew some of them through the networking thingy. Its somehow in the culture of the school as you can see it in the traits of the seniors and the professors. My kinda of people, my kinda of place. Rockzzz........ Gotta read up more on financial news already. Felt real backward and ignorant when we were needed to do the little test at the Ontrac office. Lotsa of big business, accountancy, consultancy firms, banks and corporations were named in the test. I could only named some off-hand by catching a glimpse of the hints. Temasek Holdings, Neptune Orient Lines, IBM and etc. Lotsa of more big firms were missed by me liked Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, UBS etc etc....... What a village bum i had been. Bah...... Met Cixian today too. Was told by Kristy that he was going to NTU but evidently he rejected NTU and enrolled into SMU doing Biz. Was really great to see a familiar face among the seas of anonymous. Been years since we last met and did some catching up on each others. Would see him around in campus. Just gotten the email that i had been selected for the interview for the CRUSH program. And i was still wondering when they gonna contact me as next week would be the orientation for the program. Friday's the date for the interview and gonna make a trip down again this week. Woot....... Hope i would be selected and i could start clocking my hours. Stop grumbling blog, long entry here and your gonna absorbed without fail. Wakakaka...... Heading back to camp later in the night. Till Friday....... Wished me luck for the CRUSH thingy...... Godspeed...... _________________________________________________________________
