See through my mind

Bah, Didnt get to catch the show yesterday. Going to push that to the next week agenda. Double O wasnt really fun last night but at least i get to catch up with some of my old pals which i lost contacts for months.

As i was flipping the Straits Times earlier, i came upon an interesting article about a man living in Singapore with an unusual sexual orientation, to put it bluntly, being a gay. I admired his courage to own up being a gay as i felt that Singaporeans are still rather conservative about homosexuality. There was a poll conducted to find out whether Singaporeans could accept their own son being a gay. The statistic showed that about more than 50% could not accept it. Being a gay in Singapore must be rather tough as i feel that most people will stay away from them or cast an unpleasant look or worst hurling abuse at them like faggot, "ah gua" and stuff like that. However, to my surprise, the man in the article only have one unpleasant encounter while working out in the gym with his partner. His mother could not accept the fact that he is a gay at first, however as times gradually goes by she could now understand his child and even go on a holiday trip with his son and his boyfriend. I am rather cool with the issue of homosexuality and i felt that most Gen Y Singaporean feel the same way as i do.

A taiwanese entertainment program discusses about prophecy and all of a sudden i have the urge to go to the library to get some books on prophets and prophecy. But i guess i will control my urge temporalily till i complete reading my current book, "Seven Years In Tibet".

I guess i will signed off for now. Till next week then.
